2. Website access and hosting

When you access this website, the web server and hosting infrastructure process technical connection data needed to deliver the requested content and keep the service secure and stable. This can include:

  • IP address and date and time of access;
  • requested page, file or URL, referrer URL and status code;
  • browser type and version, operating system and device information;
  • transferred data volume and comparable technical log information.

The purposes are website delivery, system security, error analysis, abuse prevention and protection against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are the secure, reliable and efficient operation of the website.

Hosting and technical service providers may process this data on our behalf under Article 28 GDPR where applicable.

3. Self-hosted media and system fonts

The images, logos and video files used by this website are delivered from the same web environment as the page itself. The supplied configuration does not embed YouTube, Vimeo or another third-party video player.

The website uses a system-font stack. It does not request web fonts from Google Fonts or another external font service. Loading local media and design assets therefore results only in the technical processing described under website access.

4. Cookies, local storage and tracking

In the supplied configuration, this website does not set cookies, does not use browser local storage and does not include analytics, advertising or marketing trackers. It therefore does not create visitor profiles or conduct cross-site tracking.

This assessment must be reviewed before publication and whenever the hosting stack, consent tools, analytics, embedded media or other third-party services are changed.

5. Contact by email or telephone

The contact buttons on this website use email links. Clicking an email link opens your local email application; the website itself does not receive form data. Once you send us an email or contact us by telephone, we process the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, company, message and project information.

Where your inquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. In other cases, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in handling business communication efficiently. Statutory record-keeping obligations may additionally require processing under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

6. External links and related websites

This company website links to separate websites, including convis-digitaltwin.com and vfx.glaucus.games. A connection to the destination is established only when you activate the relevant link. The destination website then receives the technical request data required to deliver its content and may provide a separate privacy notice.

7. Recipients and international transfers

Depending on the relevant processing activity, personal data may be made available to:

  • hosting, IT security and technical support providers;
  • email and communications service providers;
  • professional advisers, courts or public authorities where legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Some service providers may process data outside the European Union or European Economic Area. Where such a transfer occurs, we rely on an applicable adequacy decision under Article 45 GDPR or appropriate safeguards under Article 46 GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, unless another lawful transfer mechanism applies.

8. Retention and deletion

Technical log data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required for operation, security and troubleshooting, unless a security incident or legal obligation requires longer storage.

Business inquiries are retained for as long as necessary to process the request and manage the resulting business relationship. Where commercial, tax or other statutory retention obligations apply, relevant correspondence and documents are stored for the legally required period and then deleted, unless further retention is necessary for legal claims.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. The production website should be delivered using HTTPS/TLS encryption.

10. Your data protection rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the following rights:

  • access to your personal data under Article 15 GDPR;
  • rectification under Article 16 GDPR;
  • erasure under Article 17 GDPR;
  • restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR;
  • data portability under Article 20 GDPR;
  • the right to object under Article 21 GDPR;
  • withdrawal of consent at any time under Article 7(3) GDPR, without affecting prior lawful processing.

Right to object

Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or processing is required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

To exercise your rights, contact hi@glaucus.games.

11. Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for our registered office is:

Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz
Hintere Bleiche 34
55116 Mainz
Germany
Telephone: +49 6131 8920-0
Email: poststelle@datenschutz.rlp.de

12. Required data and automated decisions

You are not legally required to provide personal data merely to browse this website. Certain contact information is necessary if you want us to respond to an inquiry or enter into a business relationship. We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR on this website.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, service providers or legal requirements change. The version published on this page is the current version.
